Product Overview

1.2738 Plastic mold steel is a high-performance, pre-hardened plastic mould steel enriched with Nickel (Ni). Specifically designed for large-sized and deep-cavity moulds, it offers superior through-hardening properties compared to standard 1.2311 plastic mold steel. Supplied in a quenched and tempered condition (280-325 HB), 1.2738 Plastic Mold steel eliminates the need for further heat treatment, significantly reducing production risks and lead times. Its refined grain structure ensures outstanding polishability and excellent response to photo-etching/texturing.

1.1.2738 Plastic mold steel typical Chemical composition:

C=0.35-0.46,Si=0.2-0.4, Mn=1.3-1.6,Mo:0.15-0.25, Cr=1.8-2.2, Ni=0.9-1.2, P≦0.035, S≦0.005
