Our 1.2738 modified plastic mould steel is a pre-hardened steel developed for large and medium-sized injection moulds, particularly applications requiring good hardness uniformity, polishability, machinability and dimensional stability.

The grade is based on the 1.2738 family and is commonly considered for applications where materials such as XPM are specified. It is manufactured in China and is not produced by Schmiedewerke Gröditz.
